The NIMBO II with the attachable temperature sensor was developed as a cost-efficient solution for the specific requirements of temperature-sensitive logistics applications. Thanks to the integrated SIM card and the rechargeable battery, the temperatures of the shipments or containers can be tracked over several weeks throughout the supply chain. In addition, the NIMBO II can be localized based on connection information from GSM and WiFi networks (tracking). In contrast to GPS technology, an approximate position can be determined inside buildings as long as 2/3G GSM or WiFi reception is available.
